Engineered for 99.99% availability
You are trusting us with the monitoring of your most critical systems — so you deserve to know exactly what ours are built on. Here is the real architecture, and where it is going.
Running today
Uptriva runs on a lightweight Kubernetes (k3s) cluster hosted on Hetzner Cloud in Falkenstein, Germany. Every layer is built to scale horizontally — a traffic spike adds capacity, it does not take anything down.
Cloud-native k3s cluster
Lightweight Kubernetes on Hetzner Cloud in Falkenstein (DE). ISO 27001-certified datacenters, all data on EU soil.
Horizontal autoscaling
Pingers, APIs and dashboards scale out on demand. Check volume and dashboard traffic grow independently.
Distributed state
YugabyteDB (distributed PostgreSQL) for data, KeyDB multi-master for queueing and cache — no single fragile core.
Edge protection
Cloudflare terminates TLS and absorbs DDoS in front of Traefik ingress, WAF rules and rate limits.
Signed releases
Agent binaries ship with Ed25519-signed manifests and SHA-256 verification — updates cannot be tampered with.
Self-monitoring
We monitor ourselves with the same stack we sell: heartbeat sweeps, error budgets and audit trails.
Roadmap: 3-region geo-redundancy
A single region is a single point of failure — even a good one. The production roadmap moves Uptriva to three synchronized, independent clusters. If one datacenter goes dark, the others take over.

Active-active failover
All three regions serve traffic simultaneously. Failover is automatic — no maintenance page, no manual DNS flip.
Cross-region replication
YugabyteDB replicates synchronously across regions; KeyDB runs multi-master. No monitor data is lost on regional failure.
Independent checks
External probes run from every region — you see an outage even if the region your monitors run from is the one on fire.
EU data, EU law
GDPR by design, not by checkbox. All three planned regions sit in the European Union — Germany and Finland. Your monitoring data never leaves EU jurisdiction, and the provider is a European company.
Why we publish this
An uptime tool is only worth trusting if its own foundation is transparent. We would rather show you the real architecture — including what is still being built — than hide behind marketing claims. The public status page shows the result in real time.
