Game Server Monitoring
Game server monitoring queries the real protocol — A2S/Source, Minecraft status ping, FiveM and more — tracking players, maps and responsiveness on the UDP ports generic TCP checks cannot probe.
Players see 'server offline' before your dashboard does — unless you watch the query port
What it checks
- Game query protocol responses (Source/A2S, Minecraft, FiveM)
- Player count and map per check
- Query latency and dropped-response detection
Set it up
- 1Add a game server monitor with host and query port
- 2Pick the game/protocol preset
- 3Alert the community or infra channel on drops
FAQ
Why not just TCP-check the game port?
Most game servers speak UDP query protocols — a TCP check proves nothing about whether the server answers queries. Protocol-native checks hit the actual query interface.
Which games are supported?
Source-engine titles (CS2, TF2 and friends), Minecraft, FiveM and generic A2S-compatible servers — the catalog grows with demand.
