The honest version
Uptriva is in early access. Here's what that actually means — no polished launch speech, just the state of things.
I kept running three tools at once: an uptime pinger, a status page, and a half-broken Grafana setup for the servers. Got annoyed enough to build Uptriva and roll it all into one. That's the whole origin story — no vision deck, no funding round, just a tool I needed that didn't exist.
What works today
Monitoring that covers both sides of the firewall. Global probes from dedicated EU nodes check your public endpoints every 15 seconds — HTTP, TCP, DNS, ping, game servers, Kubernetes workloads, Docker, databases, SNMP, DNSBL. A self-hosted agent reaches into private networks and reports back the stuff external pings can't see.
Status pages that don't need a second product. Public name.uptriva.io pages (or your own domain), incident history, maintenance windows, Discord status channels, per-monitor uptime bars. One link, done.
Alerting that respects your sleep. Email, Discord, webhooks, SMS and voice calls on paid tiers. Escalation chains, on-call schedules, maintenance windows — alerts only fire when they should.
Traceable errors. Every API error, frontend crash, and agent failure gets a searchable ID — report it and it lands in one log.
What "early" actually means
- Rough edges exist. Some workflows feel like they were built by one person — because they were. If something's confusing or broken, tell me and it gets fixed.
- Limits are generous, not locked. The free tier covers 15 monitors, 5 agents, 2 status pages. Paid tiers start at €0 on the way up — early users keep their pricing.
- Feedback shapes the roadmap. The check types and integrations I prioritize come from what people actually monitor, not a marketing plan.
Why the solo approach
I'm not a team with a burn rate to justify. That means: pricing that doesn't nickel-and-dime you, features that earn their place, and infrastructure I run myself — EU-first, no third-party trackers, export your data whenever.
If that's the kind of monitoring you want: sign up, point it at your infra, and see if it holds up. If it doesn't — tell me where it broke.
