The Uptriva CLI is open source
Everything the dashboard does, now from your terminal.
uptriva is a single Go binary that talks to the same API the
dashboard does. Create monitors, pause them, manage incidents,
set up contacts and webhooks, schedule maintenance — without
opening a browser.
What it does
- Full monitor lifecycle — create, pause, resume, delete,
update. Names work where UUIDs do:
uptriva monitors pause Website. - Live terminal view —
uptriva watchrenders your status page as a TUI: latency, status, refresh every 10 seconds. - Incidents and maintenance — create and publish incident updates, schedule maintenance windows.
- Alerts plumbing — contacts, webhooks, monitor groups, on-call escalation policies.
- Agents — fleet status and enrollment tokens.
- Heartbeat push —
uptriva heartbeat <name>pings your heartbeat monitors, useful for CI jobs.
-o json gives raw API output on every command — it pipes
straight into jq. For AI agents there's an llms.txt in the
repo documenting the whole command surface.
Scoped API tokens
Released alongside it: API tokens can now be limited to
specific resources (monitors:write, incidents:read) and
specific status pages. A token that can only read one page
can't touch anything else — enforced server-side on every
request. Hand your CI a monitors:write token scoped to one
page and sleep well.
