Channel alerts
With a channel configured, the bot posts a live status card plus alert cards for outages, recoveries, incidents and maintenance. Recovery updates edit the original outage card — you see OFFLINE → ONLINE with the downtime duration in place, not a pile of separate messages.
DM alerts
/notify subscribes a user to direct messages for monitor.down and monitor.up — independent of channel alerts, so DMs still arrive even if channel notifications are disabled. Team-only and incident/maintenance events stay in channels.
